For this project we had to demolish an old shed and remove brush and trees that had accumulated on the property for years. We had to use tow skid loaders. One with a grapple bucket and one with a bucket, a roll off can and a dump truck to clear this lot. As you can see in the pictures we also used a bush hog mounted on our skid loader to clear brush and bring this property back into shape. Apex Construction will be removing this 100 foot plus tower from an industrial facility in the very near future. We will be using a crane and a 125 foot man lift to cut and remove the structure in sections and to clear the power lines located around the structure. Our Latest project is a full kitchen and back yard renovation in Bethany Beach Delaware. The first step in this project was the demolition of the existing back deck and kitchen. Demolition projects like this require careful removal and disposal or recycling of all materials. We have to be careful not to damage any of the existing structure that may be needed for the renovation.
Selective Demolition is much more time consuming and tedious than other Demolition Jobs were we remove the whole structure. Other Demolition jobs we do in Maryland and Delaware involve bringing in heavy machinery and tearing out everything including the foundation. Interior or Selective demolition is a little bit different. The first step in any demolition job is to call Miss utility and have them mark the area before we start. Then we carefully remove everything that needs to go and carefully pack it away in one of our dumpsters and remove it from the property. The key is to do this as cleanly as possible so the rest of the home is not affected. The next face of the project will be the new foundation and the new kitchen. We will also be adding a new bathroom, a new outdoor cooking area with a hardscaped patio, a built in grill and a pergola complete with lighting. Apex Construction was hired to demolish and elevator inside a chicken plant to make way for a new elevator to be installed. Apex Construction mobilized our demolition team equipped with cutting torches, grinders, winches and pulleys and was able to remove the entire structure on schedule and without incidents. Selective Demolition or Interior demolition is when only parts of a building are removed but the structure remains intact. In this case we were asked to remove everything on the interior of this retail space to make way for a new tenant. We had to demolish all the floors, this included tile, carpet and composite vinyl flooring. We then had to grind down the floors and remove all glue and thin set for allow for the new floor finishes. We also had to remove the suspended ceiling system, the ceiling system grid, all the duct work and the plumbing lines. We removed 2 hot water heaters, and all the bathroom appliances. We then had to patch any holes on the concrete floors. We got this done in 2 1/2 days.

For this project, Apex Construction was hired to perform interior demolition services at an old Super Fresh Supermarket that is becoming a Family Dollar. The scope of work included, floor demolition, wall demolition, cutting new openings, saw cutting, ceiling and ceiling grid demolition. We brought in our skid loader equipped with a scrubber to help with this project. The project was completed ahead of schedule and with no issues.

Apex Construction performing a mobile home demolition in Fenwick Island Delaware. This particular job was located in Cape Windsor. We used our new bobcat to perform most of the work. It took two days to clear the lot to make room for a brand new ESCH HOMES modular home. This is a project we just finished last week in Ocean City Maryland. This house had leaks around all the windows, roof leaks and leaks around the old skylights.
We had to remove all the old siding, re-flash and reset the windows and install brand new double 4 vinyl siding. When we removed the old siding, we found substantial water damage to the wood. We ended up spending some time replacing every piece to rotted wood with new wood, put new tyvek paper on a replaced the siding.
We then removed the old roof, replaced the old skylights with new Velux skylight, replaced some rotting sheething and installed a new architectural shingle lifetime roof.
This house should be good to go for a long time and there should not be any more issues with leaks!
