Apex Construction is the general contractor for the construction of the new Ropewalk at the former Frescos property on 83rd Street in Ocean City. Demolition has started and the project is scheduled to be completed for the restaurant opening in early spring of 2015. This will be Ropewalk’s second location at the beach along with a third location at Federal Hill in Baltimore.
The majority of the expansion on the property will be on a vacant lot south of the existing Frescos location. The ground will be filled with sand to create a bayside beach dining area of 3,874 square feet. An expanded deck and pavilion will be built in the outside seating area. There will be seating under the pavilion and in the sand with a beautiful view of the Assawoman Bay.
The inside of the location will receive a complete make-over and there will be 599 seats for indoor and outdoor seating. In addition, we are expanding the restaurant’s parking lot, bringing the total number of spaces to 104.
